Angel Heights

Angel Heights is an extremely well-appointed static caravan on a quiet, small site, overlooking Luce Bay in the Machars of Galloway. With a double and twin bedroom, we are currently accepting bookings for up to 2 people (no under 16s, please).

The accommodation

The property features a very comfortable open plan living area, with woodburning stove in the lounge and a well-appointed kitchen with breakfast bar.

The main double bedroom features a walk-in wardrobe and access to jack-and-jill shower room. There is also a twin room with two 2'6" single beds.

Gas central heating throughout.

Outside is a large decking area with seating, enjoying views across the Bay to the Mull of Galloway and Isle of Man.

The location

Monreith Sands is a small, peaceful site with just 57 caravans. There is a laundry room on site and barbeque area. Local shop and cafe (serving alcoholic drinks in the evening during the Season) at Port William (2 miles away) with further shops and eating opportunities within easy reach at Whithorn, Isle of Whithorn and Wigtown (Scotland's National Booktown).

There is access to a near deserted beach directly opposite the main entrance (approx 5 mins walk), with a Golf Course less than 5 minutes drive away at St Medans.

The surrounding area is very picturesque and peaceful, with many interesting historic sites. The Galloway Hills are about 45 minutes drive away, just the other side of Newton Stewart.

Travel info

From the A75 at Newton Stewart, follow the signs for Wigtown (A 746).

Just before reaching Wigtown, turn right onto the B7005 (signposted for Port William, Whithorn), which joins the A714 at Bladnoch.

Just before entering the village of Braehead/Kirkinner, turn right onto B7085 (signposted Whauphill & Port William)

After about 6 miles, the road bends sharply to the right, shortly after which, turn left onto minor road, signposted for Monreith. (Beware narrow road, with farm traffic!)

At the T junction, turn left, and Monreith Sands Holiday Park is about 1/4 mile on your left as you come out of the village.

Angel Heights is straight ahead of you on the left as you enter the park.
