Haven For 2

'Haven For 2' sits on 22 acres of our young oak forest plantation between the towns of Agen and Villeneuve sur Lot and within 10 minutes of the villages Aiguillon and Clairac.

You have full access to enjoy the wonderful wildlife, butterflies and birds. Your own large private large garden with a shaded terrace and sun loungers and eating area.

Relaxing moments are enjoyed by many guests sitting around the Carp Lake that is almost in your garden. You are welcome to bring your rods should you wish to go fishing for carp, black bass and bream.

This is not a fishing holiday, it's just a bonus and free. Enjoy.

The accommodation

Lounge and American style kitchen overlooking your own large private garden.

Washing machine available for guests that are here for a second week.

Your bathroom has a large modern shower with grab rails. The bathroom is pristinely clean and large.

Your large bedroom has views across the lake. One double very comfortable bed (many guests ask can they take the bed home with them). Plenty of storage places for clothes etc.

The location

The countryside in Lot-et-Garonne situated between Bordeaux and Toulouse offers unlimited scope for walkers and cyclists, and visitors are well placed for boating on the River Baïse, The lot and the Garonne river nearby.

What a delight this corner of France is, so very few cars and whilst exploring you will pass through gently sloping hills and fields that show off their diverse agricultural crops from sunflowers to corn, apples, plums and kiwis.

Beautiful towns and villages where people always have time to talk to you.

Your Haven for 2 is on the outskirts of Aiguillon and Clairac and is a perfect place to stay, exclusively for two offering peace and quiet in the beautiful countryside but not riverside fishing or fishing at your holiday home Haven for 2 to overhead hang-gliding, the region abounds with opportunities for all tastes and ;

The area is famous for its Bastide hilltop villages, many of which have a weekly evening market with music and entertainment and delicious local food and wines.

Our area

The area has much to offer be it simply chilling out at your Haven for 2 enjoying the many butterflies , birds and fish jumping or sat reading in your shaded terrace.

Wonderful walks down by the riverside at Clairac, Aiguillon, Nerac or Damazan. Enjoy Agen with its many museums and historic sites also at Villeneuve sur Lot, just 20 minutes away. So many exciting surprises to view in our .

Travel info

Parking here at your Haven for 2 is right outside your door. Should you want to take a picnic around the lake you have complete access with your car.

We are situated approx 15 minutes from exit 6 at Damazan on the A62.

The nearest airport is Bergerac just 1hr 10 mins away.

Bordeaux just less than 1hr 20 mins away from your ;

Toulouse a good 1hr 45 mins.

Pau approx 2hrs.

You can take your car across the English Channel on Le Shuttle via the channel tunnel with Eurotunnel or by one of a number of ferries;

The TGV super-fast railway goes nearby from Bordeaux to Toulouse via Tonneins - our local station (about 15 mins away). From Bordeaux take the A62 motorway to Aiguillon, or from Agen take the N113 north to Aiguillon.

Availability 2022 is normally from Saturday to Saturday but we ask you to  consider a weekday arrival because the Flights and Ferries are so much cheaper ;

On arrival.

A fresh ham salad, croissants and fruit await your arrival. Fresh salads and fruit from the kitchen garden. Essential provisions - milk, eggs, bread, jam, marmalade, tea and coffee are all there in the welcome pack, and a bottle of wine of the region. It is all taken care of to make your arrival calm and relaxing and at no extra charge. An 8-minute drive takes you to a well-provisioned supermarket, open on a Sunday morning.

The balance is to be paid 8 weeks before ;


With the balance add £50 this is returned to you on departure for leaving the gite/cottage in a good state (clean and tidy) any breakages you simply replace like for like. Thank you.

About our prices

The price is just £487 per week. This is extremely good value for money. You have saved by booking directly with us, in addition, you have NO service charges which is what these 'booking companies' and travel companies now charge you.

We ask for a £100 deposit for each week that is booked to secure your booking.

We will send you an so you can chat with us if you need further details and enclosed will be a simple booking form and payment details. 
If you are from the Eurozone we may consider accepting cash on arrival.
